“The carefully placed cells, working bees, and blooming flowers of my design are an interpretation of the key role and importance we have in each other’s existence and a symbol of what continuous work and effort will bloom in to.”- Mi Salgado
Mi Salgado is a self-taught visual artist and creator native to the Southside of Milwaukee. Mi explores several disciplines to portray work inspired by nature and the connections to the natural world. Though her work is centered around the depiction of nature, she dives into work that has reference to her cultural roots. Her work has been presented at Latino Art’s, Viva MKE, Barby the Book Fairy and various local community events.
