Visibly Imperfectly Perfect Visits Black Cat Alley

Members of Visibly Imperfect Perfect pose together in front of a colorful mural in Black Cat Alley

We had the honor and pleasure of hosting several members of Visibly Imperfect Perfect (VIPerfect), a nonprofit organization providing support, education, awareness, and advocacy for characteristically unique individuals diagnosed with Vitiligo, and Mouna, owner of Mouna Photography, for a special photo shoot in Black Cat Alley in September 2022.

Mouna was volunteering her time and talent to help Visibly Imperfect Perfect with a project focused on embracing the changes in pigment that people with Vitiligo undergo when they lose their pigment. Mouna and VIPerfect also partnered on a similar project together in 2021.

Mouna highlighted each participant individually in front of a Black Cat Alley mural of their choice, and also took some amazing group shots.

East Side BID Executive Director, David Smulyan, had the privilege of being present for this powerful photo shoot. Of the experience, he said:

“It was wonderful watching Mouna practice her craft and seeing this beautiful group of individuals pose for their photoshoot. Several of those featured were doing this for the first time and described it as an enjoyable, empowering experience.”
